BOOK REVIEW: IT ENDS WITH US BY COLLEEN HOOVER

Image
REVIEWS: IT ENDS WITH US BY COLLEEN HOOVER  I was nervous about purchasing BookTok's most popular title, "It Ends With Us," by Colleen Hoover.I was concerned that how I felt about this book would influence how I judged other books I discovered through TikTok in the future. I was even more nervous about writing a review for it because "It Ends With Us" raised the bar for not only all other new adult fiction books, but all fiction books in general. I now understand why this book and its characters have a cult following. The slow-burn story follows Lil...

REVIEW: KUZGUN

Image
REVIEW: KUZGUN Kuzgun - a terrible destiny that turned an innocent child into an adult with a bloody wounded soul. Staying alone on the streets at an early age, beaten, mutilated - a kidney was stolen from him - turns into a man with a precise purpose and with a desire for vengeance against those who have sealed his fate. He'll be able to forget? He'll be able to love again? Does he refuse love for fear of being hurt again or for fear of causing suffering to others? The character's struggle , which carries a battle between mind and heart, is overwhelming. On the one hand, Kuzgun - the ruthless, on the other hand Kuzgun who yearns for the love of his mother and who wants to be able to approach Dila. An impressive story! People can be forgiven, wounds can heal, and closed hearts can open again, but it needs time and lots of energy. Despite traumatic experiences, Kuzgun becomes an upright, courageous man whose heart has not forgotten to love. Kuzgun - thousands of demons handc...

REVIEW: DON'T WORRY DARLING

Image
REVIEW: DON'T WORRY DARLING Harry Styles said, "This movie has a really cinematic quality to it. similar to a "go to the theatre" movie." Without making fun of Styles' interviewing abilities, he is correct! You should see this movie in theatres; I thought it was pretty good. The movie is very interesting and engaging, and Olivia Wilde delivers yet another outstanding performance, even though it doesn't quite live up to the promise of its amazing trailers.  Florence Pugh, who is the real star of this movie, is deserving of all the accolades for the role she played. I was enthralled by her in this film; she is amazing and really demonstrates her range as an actress. She was incredible, Whether you enjoy the film or not, Florence Pugh is a standout. She really carries the movie, and you are immediately drawn into the struggles and narrative of her character. One might argue that Pugh is the glue that binds the movie together because she dominates the scree...

REVIEW: THE PROTECTOR ( NETFLIX SERIES)

Image
REVIEW: THE PROTECTOR ( NETFLIX SERIES) Turkish Netflix's first-ever original series! What a debut for Turkey on the vast internet platform. This is a gold-cast stepping stone! gold from Turkey, that is! It does have a few flaws in the beginning, though. True. But things continue to improve. You should change to the original language with English subtitles, in my opinion. You would enjoy the performance more because it's more satisfying, the conversation is funnier, and it's amazing. I adore Cagatay Ulusoy's portrayal of Hakan, the reluctant superhero torn between his own goals and others' expectations of him, between who he wants to be and what is actually expected of him. Despite his errors, Hakan is surprisingly likeable and human; you may want to hug and soothe him occasionally, but other times you may want to scold him severely. That's great; Zeynep will take care of that for you. I think it's great that Hakan is breaking the mould for what a super her...

Image
Üç KuruÅŸ ( THE BAD PENNY) Genres:   Action, Comedy, Drama, Crime fiction This Turkish series features 28 episodes about a tight-knit gypsy community in Istanbul, a serial killer, and a straight-laced police officer seeking to bring down the gang. The series skips three years in time in episode 18, giving episodes 18-28 a drastically different tone than episodes 1-17. This Turkish series is a must-see because of the excellent performances and the intriguing addition of a serial killer. The entire plot revolves around Kartal (Eagle), a two-bit crook who lives in a large family home amid Istanbul's tight-knit gypsy community. Kartal has many responsibilities...he has established himself as the community's leader, which comes with financial burdens. FILM REVIEW: LITTLE WOMEN (2019)

Image
LITTLE WOMEN (2019) Directed by Greta Gerwig Genre: Romance, Drama, Coming of sage story, Historical film. The film is based on Louisa May Alcott's novel of the same name, and it tells the story of a group of sisters who grow up together and learn lessons about life, love, death, femininity, and the relationship that keeps them together through the years. Jo March (Saoirse Ronan) seeks success in her writing and wants to have her memoirs published. Most significantly, the picture stars Timothee Chalamet, a young charmer. The performances are excellent all around. Most of the characters, particularly Ms. Pugh, have comedic qualities. Ronan is fantastic, as she always is, and the writing does not let the characters down. It's crisp and humorous, with just the appropriate amount of emotional weight. There are solemn moments in this film as the sisters deal with a near-death experience, and the actors and Gerwig's director manage the spectrum of emotions admirably. The costume ...

BOOK REVIEW: NAMAL BY NEMRAH AHMED

Image
A CRIME THRILLER BY NEMRAH AHMED Namal is a novel that stands out among all other Pakistani novels because of its intricate web of truth, deception, and, of course, the small stream of love that emerges among all these channels of existence. Namal, unlike other novels, revolves around the lives of various characters rather than focusing on a single character as the focal point of the entire plot. STORY The novel begins with a sense of mystery and suspense. Faris Ghazi, a young man, is arrested and charged with murdering his stepbrother. The only eyewitness to the crime, Zamar Yusuf, a just but harsh district attorney who also happens to be Faris' ex-teacher, accuses him. A complicated and well-planned murder turns these two into adversaries. Nemrah Ahmed has summarised Pakistan's complicated legal system in the most straightforward manner. While focusing on murder, she has managed to describe other illegal behaviours that occur in our daily lives and go mostly unreported. CHARA...

FILM REVIEW: BEFORE SUNRISE (1995)

Image
BEFORE SUNRISE (1995) Directed by  Richard Linklater Genre: Romance, Comedy, Indie film, Drama. Have you ever seen a movie that left you speechless because it was that good? This film astounded me with its positive, realistic depiction of romance and the true chemistry between the two lead characters. Before Sunrise is about two strangers, Jesse and Celine, who meet on a train on their journey from Budapest to Paris and, after a brief talk, begin to build a friendship. As they arrive in Vienna for a night before heading to Paris, Jesse and Celine get to know each other and develop love feelings for one another. While the subject is simple, the manner in which it is told is stunning. The tale is portrayed through the talks and dialogue exchanges that Jesse and Celine have throughout the film, and we learn more about these people as a result. The dialogue scenes are extremely well-written and do not appear staged or forced. It all sounds natural, because it is how two people in...

THE SILENT PATIENT REVIEW📚👀😬  Thrillers or Romance?  Author: Alex Michaelides Genre: partly psychology thriller Synopsis: Alicia Berenson had an apparently flawless life until one day six years ago, when she shot her husband in the head five times. She hasn't spoken anything since. Theo Faber is a a long-awaited criminal psychotherapist for the opportunity to work with Alicia and is committed to Make her talk. Review: I don't normally read thrillers, so I can assure you that this is not a spooky novel that will terrify you to death. It's wonderfully written, and the finale surprised me! I enjoy how this book delves into psychology, childhood trauma, and the human psyche because I find it fascinating. It just took a few pages for me to get into the story, and I couldn't put it down. Some thriller enthusiasts have told me that it was good but a little predictable, so keep that in mind if you've read a lot of thrillers recently. I didn't predict anything becaus...
