 REVIEW: THE PROTECTOR ( NETFLIX SERIES)








Turkish Netflix's first-ever original series! What a debut for Turkey on the vast internet platform. This is a gold-cast stepping stone! gold from Turkey, that is! It does have a few flaws in the beginning, though. True. But things continue to improve. You should change to the original language with English subtitles, in my opinion. You would enjoy the performance more because it's more satisfying, the conversation is funnier, and it's amazing.

I adore Cagatay Ulusoy's portrayal of Hakan, the reluctant superhero torn between his own goals and others' expectations of him, between who he wants to be and what is actually expected of him.

Despite his errors, Hakan is surprisingly likeable and human; you may want to hug and soothe him occasionally, but other times you may want to scold him severely. That's great; Zeynep will take care of that for you.

I think it's great that Hakan is breaking the mould for what a super hero should be going forward, and I hope you agree. ;)

A stunning and talented cast portrays the other important characters with depth and skill!

Protect the city at all costs, but along the road, hearts are broken, allegiances are changed, mortals desire an end to suffering, and immortals are willing to sacrifice all for a single moment of pure love.

Another major perk is the breathtaking environment, which contrasts the modern skyscrapers that tower over the Bosphorus with the historic, wonderful city of Istanbul with its Grand Bazaar, Hagia Sophia, and cobblestone streets.

You will feel rewarded by watching it! Hey, I'm tempted to watch it again myself right now ;)
